Dorothy : Visible: We dont want any mystery - its either visible - or its not. (Hattie) If whanau have to scramble around to find the learning......thats not right. We dont want barriers. Cultural capital = use technology to make learning and teaching visible. Looking at what should be private- definites.  Default = visible. Google sites - a way to make learning visible. Visible teaching + sites. Hapara makes learning visible. Hapara was designed for Manaiakalani community.

Kerry : Multi Modal = An inclusive, differentiated approach to teaching in a digital learning environment . Lynchpin to delivering 21st C learning. Universal design for learning = Engagement/Creating and Expressing/Sharing. Class site which reaches all learners - caters to SDL.

Engagement Personalised Learning Accelerated achievement EMPOWERMENT

The goals leading to - lifelong learners.

Class site needs to be engaging. selling the love of learning. Similar to a shop front window - my site should reflect my class. Ideally class site first page = fresh = living virtual notice board. Change- on a regular basis. How to sustain their engagement.

Behaviour engagement = Multimodal design Cognitive engagement = Multitextural design

Site = a work in progress - a new site every year - keep it alive!!

Site is the portal = where all your work is. Hapara works in with this.

Well by crikey I have learned heaps today.  Jamboard, Google sites......by jingoes. 

And then a look @ how to set up labels in this forum.



Well ....sad news for the day with the passing of colleagues in an accident....there is never the words ...

    I did enjoy reading your reflections, I haven't heard anyone say by jingoes for a while; that did make me smile.

    You did great setting up the pages for your site on Fake News. I like the page headings you chose, they would be good prompts to get the conversations going with students. Hmmm, I'd love to see you develop this further next year. If you'd like some help with a unit of work for your students that incorporates some of the ideas from Cybersmart let me know :)

    I 100% agree with Kerry, the page titles really made me want to dig into what was on your site. Well done! Jamboard is a great collaborative tool to brainstorm and share ideas quickly and I love that they can be linked to your Google Meet.
